What is better than saving money? Using it to help others! I had the absolute joy of photographing Clark Howard present a $250,000 check on behalf of Cox Enterprises to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity‘s President & CEO Larrie Del Martin. $250,000! It was a very exciting and heartwarming experience that I was proud to be a part of.

Habitat for Humanity helps to build homes for people in need. This check will go toward building homes for deserving families in the Metro Atlanta area. The Habitat for Humanity program coordinates supplies and volunteers to help provide new homes to low income people who help to build their own homes, and are then responsible for a small mortgage to pay off their new home. It is a wonderful program that puts many, who might otherwise not be able, on the path to home ownership.

This shoot took place inside of the Habitat for Humanity warehouse, where volunteers and builders work together to pre-fabricate housing structures and coordinate building plans for the homes going up throughout Atlanta. We were able to make creative use of some of the equipment available to add variety to the pictures that commemorated an awesome day.

I would like to give a big thank you to Cox Enterprises and Clark Howard for their tireless efforts to help others, and to the many volunteers and employees who make the work of Habitat for Humanity possible. May we all strive to help others in any way that we can.
